# SwedenStart implementation status

The current app name is **SwedenStart**, with **Your path to Sweden** as its tagline (selected on 19 October 2026). Active configuration, commands, packages, branding and saved planning copy use the new name; older entries below retain their historical names and verification results.

The initial local build was completed on 16 October 2026 in `/Users/saysabio/Apps/Web/swedenpath`. The initial build did not initialize or configure Git. At the user's later explicit request, the baseline application and dashboard fixes were committed as `a90c865` (`Implement SwedenPath application and dashboard fixes`), using the existing repository configuration. No push was performed.

Production launch, external email delivery and genuine Stripe sandbox transactions remain gated by owner configuration. The local app and database remain running for review at the user's request.

## Two-font typography update — 16 October 2026

- Centralized font roles in shared tokens: DM Sans for body, navigation, controls, code and account/form headings; DM Serif Display at regular weight for public editorial headings and editorial image captions. Removed the named Georgia fallback, mapped browser monospace defaults to Sans and disabled synthetic font faces.
- Standardized account headings and interactive sample headings, and preloaded the two existing self-hosted font files.
- Extended the existing build/CI design guard and project instructions to reject extra font families, direct component family overrides and arbitrary font utilities. All five design-policy tests and the asset build passed.
- Browser audit covered 32 page/viewport combinations at 390px and 1440px. Visible text used only the two approved families, every family in use was loaded, and there was no horizontal overflow. No browser console warnings or errors were observed. Saved task data and credentials were unchanged.
- Evidence: `docs/verification/typography-review.json`, `docs/screenshots/typography-tasks-desktop.png`, and `typography-tasks-mobile.png`.

## Borderless interface update — 16 October 2026

- Removed 91 authored border and shadow declarations across the shared interface, including public sections, cards, rows, tables, navigation, authentication, settings, billing, task controls and dashboard stage rings. Removed the decorative city-card underline. Secondary actions and form controls now use filled surfaces; selected stages use fill and text weight.
- Added a shared zero-border reset and retained the 3px keyboard-focus indicator, native controls, icon strokes, progress bars and the meaningful journey connectors.
- Added `AGENTS.md` design instructions and `npm run check:design`. The production build and CI run the policy check. Three regression tests cover borders, rings, shadows, pseudo-element dividers, utility classes, inline styles, focus indicators and permitted geometry.
- Build and design checks passed. Browser inspection of 28 page/viewport combinations (14 public/account pages at 390px and 1440px) found zero rendered borders, box shadows or horizontal overflow. Keyboard navigation retained the visible focus outline on a borderless filled select.
- Evidence: `docs/verification/borderless-review.json`; screenshots `docs/screenshots/borderless-dashboard-desktop.png`, `borderless-dashboard-mobile.png`, and `borderless-landing-desktop.png`. No task data or demo credentials were changed.

## Dashboard reference update — 16 October 2026

- Applied the second dashboard reference with a licensed Stockholm welcome banner, six interactive saved-data stages, expandable task previews, visual progress counts, next-task shortcuts, official links and SFI guidance. Kept the established SwedenPath identity and the prior request for numbers without leading zeros.
- Stage exploration works with click, touch, arrows, Home and End; it does not modify the saved starting point. Journey links open the matching section. Dashboard search opens the task list with the query applied.
- Added owner-only non-SFI task completion and Undo on the overview, preserving optional dates and revision conflict protection. Tested cross-account denial, SFI rejection, stale requests and date-preserving Undo. Browser completion moved the demo from 33% to 42%; Undo restored 33% and Action needed.
- `php artisan test --compact --no-ansi`: **105 passed, 397 assertions, 4.57 seconds**. Production build, JavaScript syntax and diff checks passed. The browser smoke script was updated; current UI verification used the in-app browser and did not reset the demo fixture or credentials.
- Browser checks cover nine widths from 320 to 1440 pixels, one H1, one active stage panel, loaded images and no horizontal overflow. Verified task search, stage selection/expansion, keyboard navigation, journey anchors, mobile menu, completion and Undo. No browser console errors or warnings were observed.
- Screenshots: `docs/screenshots/dashboard-reference-desktop.png`, `dashboard-reference-desktop-fold.png`, `dashboard-reference-mobile.png`. Structured evidence: `docs/verification/dashboard-reference-review.json`. Local servers remain available for review.

## Current UI redesign review — 16 October 2026

- Applied the supplied SwedenPath reference through a sunrise mark, navy editorial typography, restrained yellow actions, warm section backgrounds, real Stockholm photography, clear official-source links and actual guides. Sources and licenses are recorded in `docs/asset-sources.md`; no testimonials or affiliations were invented.
- Redesigned the public site, account navigation, dashboard, task forms, checklists, SFI, authentication and supporting pages with a consistent readable scale.
- Added task title search, status filters and no-results recovery. Mobile navigation now exposes all account pages directly and supports Escape/outside-click dismissal. SFI preselects the saved municipality while retaining status-only tracking.
- Verified 35 responsive page states across 320, 390, 768 and 1440 pixel widths with one H1 and no horizontal page overflow. Tested sample journey tabs and keyboard navigation, FAQ disclosure, task save/reload/Undo, checklist persistence, SFI persistence, profile validation, signup layout, login and the disabled checkout gate. No browser console errors or warnings were observed.
- Final `php artisan test --compact --no-ansi`: **102 passed, 373 assertions, 4.39 seconds**. Production asset build, PHP formatting, JavaScript syntax and diff whitespace checks passed. The standalone browser smoke script was extended and syntax-checked; current browser verification used the interactive in-app browser rather than rerunning that script.
- Demo restored to Alex, Europe/Stockholm, Stockholm, 4/12 completed (33%), registration Action needed with no date, SFI Contacted municipality, and no completed document checklist items. Existing demo credentials remain valid.
- Detailed evidence: `docs/verification/ui-redesign-review.json` and `docs/screenshots/redesign-*.png`. A disk-full interruption during screenshot export was resolved by removing build-created temporary caches/tooling; exports completed and final observed free storage was 4.7 GiB.

## Implemented

- Official Laravel 13 / Livewire starter foundation, Fortify authentication, MySQL schema, database sessions/queues, source-backed versioned templates and safe synthetic local fixtures.
- Scandinavian editorial public site with licensed self-hosted Stockholm photography/fonts, mobile menu, accessible synthetic sample journey, five original guides, official-resource directory, verified municipal SFI links, pricing/about/help and clearly draft legal/privacy/cookie/refund pages.
- Preferred-name signup with Terms/adult attestation; verification, reset, password confirmation, pending verified email changes, session controls, TOTP/recovery and enforced admin MFA. Framework Argon2id and privacy-preserving compromised-password screening, including visible screening outages and timing protection.
- Skippable onboarding, parallel journey stages, dashboard next/waiting actions, persisted task statuses/dates, conflict protection and Undo, applicable-task completion, checklist-only documents and no identity-number/upload fields.
- SFI statuses and official links only. Alternate/nested date payloads, SFI reminders/calendar entries and user-facing SFI schedule exports are rejected or excluded at several layers. All case progress is user-reported; no forecasts or live government integrations.
- Free basic export/correction/erasure; Premium non-SFI reminders/calendar download, deterministic priorities/printable plan, one email-bound task collaborator with explicit permissions/revocation and request/job entitlement checks.
- One-time 49900-minor-unit SEK purchase records, immutable offer/Terms/policy snapshots, immediate/deferred activation, 12 calendar months from actual activation, expiry/downgrade without journey deletion, signed minimal webhooks, canonical/idempotent reconciliation, refund/dispute/late-event handling and unique purchase locks.
- Purchase withdrawal from Billing/email/footer without a required reason or login. Notices preserve original receipt times; logged-out mailbox verification is signed and POST-only for state changes. Ordinary verified eligible refunds are automatic; uncertain/extended cases retain review records. Pending/failed/succeeded refunds remain distinct from acknowledgement and bank arrival.
- Minimal protected source/guide maintenance and review, versioned template edits preserving existing progress, account suspension, refund exceptions/audited non-shortening extensions, privacy/support request register and deletion-ledger restore handling.
- Metadata/canonicals/sitemap, truthful WebSite JSON-LD, private/error noindex/no-store, strict CSP, referrer/header protection, redacted exception/job records and no optional analytics/advertising trackers.

## Initial build verification commands and outcomes (historical)

Run from the project directory. Logs in `docs/verification` contain actual successful output with terminal color escapes removed.

| Command | Observed result |
|---|---|
| `php artisan migrate --seed --force` | Fresh isolated MySQL application schema/content installed; no non-test data reset |
| `php artisan test --compact` | 100 passed, 375 assertions on SQLite test database; latest 4.39 s |
| `DB_CONNECTION=mysql DB_DATABASE=swedenpath_test php artisan test --compact` | 100 passed, 375 assertions on MySQL 8.4.11; latest 5.43 s |
| `DB_CONNECTION=mysql DB_DATABASE=swedenpath_test vendor/bin/phpunit --configuration phpunit.mysql.xml` | 2 multi-process tests passed, 13 assertions, 1.718 s; duplicate checkout and canonical fulfillment locks |
| `php artisan view:cache`; `php artisan route:cache`; `php artisan route:clear` | Passed; unused starter references removed, local route cache cleared |
| `vendor/bin/pint` and `vendor/bin/pint --test` | Formatting applied and check passed |
| `npm run build` | Vite production build passed; external app JS about 1.12 kB / 0.55 kB gzip. Public font references produce runtime-resolution warnings; actual self-hosted fonts loaded in browser review |
| `npm run test:browser` | 15 critical-flow check groups, 11 real screenshots, no JS/CSP errors or horizontal page overflow at 390/768/1440 px |
| Playwright + axe-core through that browser command | Zero reported WCAG-tagged violations across six landing/dashboard scans; this is not a full conformance audit |
| `composer audit --format=json` | Zero advisories and abandoned packages in the observed run |
| `npm audit --json` | Zero vulnerabilities after compatible picomatch patch |
| `composer check-platform-reqs --no-interaction` | Installed PHP extensions/package platform requirements passed |
| `php artisan queue:work --once --stop-when-empty`; `php artisan swedenpath:maintain` | Empty local worker cycle and access/reminder maintenance completed |
| Actual Pwned Passwords hash-prefix probe using a well-known public compromised fixture | Rejected; no private password/profile sent |
| `php artisan swedenpath:launch-check` | Expected nonzero result: launch/legal/tax/operator/address/contact gates unresolved |
| Scripted source credential-pattern scan and `.git` check | No live API/private-key patterns in application/config/routes/views/docs; no project `.git` |

The two MySQL concurrency checks also ran after the final billing date-policy changes. Real in-memory mail transport tests verify rendered purchase/withdrawal messages, immutable Terms, human-readable amounts, original notice timestamps, duplicate-ack suppression and reminder expiry/SFI checks. **They do not verify external SMTP delivery.**

## Runtime/dependency versions actually used

| Component | Version |
|---|---|
| PHP / Composer | 8.5.2 / 2.9.3 |
| Laravel / Fortify | 13.37.0 / 1.41.0 |
| Livewire / Flux | 4.4.7 / 2.20.1 |
| MySQL isolated runtime | 8.4.11 |
| Node / npm | 25.2.1 / 11.6.2; deployment build instructions recommend a supported compatible Node version |
| Tailwind / Vite | 4.3.3 / 8.3.4 |
| stripe-php / requested API version | 21.3.2 / 2026-08-26.dahlia |
| PHPUnit / Pint | 12.5.40 / 1.32.1 |
| Playwright / axe-core integration | 1.64.1 / 4.14.0 |
| Installed Chrome | 155.0.8059.41 |

Lockfiles preserve full transitive versions. Argon2id 64 MiB × three iterations, one thread measured 104 ms in one local benchmark; test settings deliberately use a reduced cost.

## Visual evidence and measurements

Inspect `docs/screenshots/landing-1440.png`, `landing-390.png`, `dashboard-1440.png`, `dashboard-390.png`, the readable `*-mobile-fold.png` captures, `dashboard-empty-1440.png`, `settings-validation-390.png` and `withdrawal-390.png`. Screenshots were visually inspected; supporting text contrast and a cramped mobile action label were corrected.

`docs/browser-results.json` records the actual local headless run. Latest landing observations: 1440 px LCP 484 ms / CLS 0.000746 / TTFB 344.2 ms; 768 px LCP 80 ms / CLS 0.000879 / TTFB 11.3 ms; 390 px LCP 80 ms / CLS 0.000878 / TTFB 10.7 ms. Reported resource transfer was about 161 kB. No CPU/network throttling was applied. These are local observations, not field Core Web Vitals, INP, Lighthouse scores or ranking claims.

## Environment issues resolved or preserved

The preinstalled MySQL 9.0.1 server could not load its missing ICU 74 library. Docker initially exhausted disk space while pulling MySQL and later did not restart reliably; no broad cleanup/prune or system installation repair was performed. Only disposable files/caches created by this build were removed.

Oracle's observed macOS ARM 8.4.11 archive was downloaded to `/private/tmp` and matched its published MD5 (`6e89113f04f2af85d0a164573493db3a`). Standalone `codesign --verify` reported an invalid signature on the official tar binary; sandboxed initialization crashed during a system-query-dependent startup path. An explicitly reviewed outside-sandbox initialization succeeded. The binary was not modified/re-signed and no OS security setting was changed. This temporary runtime is for local development, not a production installation.

The active ignored `.env` now points to the isolated MySQL database on `127.0.0.1:33070`, with generated local credentials. Separate `swedenpath` and `swedenpath_test` databases were used. The earlier `database/local-preview.sqlite` file is preserved. `scripts/local-mysql.sh` restarts the already initialized temporary runtime; use a normal durable MySQL installation for ongoing operation. The initial build preview processes were stopped after verification. They are now running for local review at the user’s request; README explains how to restart them.

## Outstanding owner configuration and bounded unverified work

- Genuine Stripe sandbox key, webhook secret and matching approved inclusive test Price; actual hosted card checkout, external webhook listener and real test refund/reconciliation exercise. **No Stripe products/charges/refunds were created and no real Stripe success is claimed.**
- Actual SMTP provider/sender and durable delivery/retry testing for verification, reset, invitation, purchase confirmation and acknowledgement. Local `array` mail does not deliver or log messages.
- Operator name/address/contact; reviewed Terms/refund wording, contract-formation interpretation, adults-only policy, supported territories and market-specific/extended rights. Draft policy fields remain visible locally and block production approval.
- Owner/accountant approval of tax treatment, active registrations, product classification and any Stripe Tax activation. No live selling is enabled.
- Production hosting/database/mail/backup providers, locations, DPAs/transfers, retention, processing record/risk assessment, rights/incident ownership, alert destination and actual backup restore/provider-deletion rehearsal.
- Actual HTTPS/proxy/cookie/CSP/staging checks, intended production performance and broader manual accessibility/security review. No security certification or legal-compliance/production-readiness claim is made.

**Prioritized next step:** complete owner merchant/legal/tax/mail/sandbox configuration, then execute and record the genuine hosted Checkout → confirmation → withdrawal → refund flow before any live selling.

## Suggested future commit messages — unexecuted

- Establish Laravel and Scandinavian design foundations
- Implement source-backed relocation journey and SFI safeguards
- Add Premium purchases, collaboration and withdrawal refunds
- Verify privacy, accessibility and deployment launch gates

The owner must first initialize/configure Git personally and separately authorize any later commits. These suggestions are not executed commits; there are no project commit hashes.
